33 Le préfet de Sétif me nomme à la SAS (section administrative spécialisée) de Maoklane, petit village situé sur les hauts plateaux. Village où réside un personnage important et respecté : le Bachagha Benhabib. J’arrive dans ce bordj en mars 1958 et le quitterai en août 1959. Sur la photo de droite, c’est jour de fête avec le traditionnel méchoui. Le lieutenant qui porte le képi sera grièvement blessé et rapatrié en France. Sa femme, sur la photo, le rejoindra. La guerre d’Algérie se rappelle à nous chaque jour. The Prefect of Setif names me a part of the SAS (specialized administrative section) of Maoklane, a small village in the highlands. It’s a village where an important and respected person lives: the Bachagha Benhabib. I arrive in this bordj in March 1958, and I’ll leave in August 1959.
